WWE Extreme Rules 2021 Review

Okay, I finished watching Extreme Rules a couple of hours ago, & I felt, overall, this was a solid event.

Okay, here we go...

Kickoff Match:

Liv Morgan vs. Carmella.

I was surprised at how much the crowd was behind Liv...

Makes me wish WWE would put a big push behind Liv...

Anyhow, solid match, Liv Morgan picks up the victory by pin fall after hitting the Oblivion (And I'm probably misspelling that...)

Onto the main show:

6-Man tag:

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods & WWE Champion Big E) vs. 'The All-Mighty' Bobby Lashley, 'The Phenomenal' AJ Styles & Omos.

Omos has still yet to take a bump...lol

Omos was barely in the ring, and when he was, he mainly rag dolled Kofi.

The New Day pick up the victory when Big E pinned Bobby Lashley after hitting The Big Ending...

Smackdown Tag Team Championship:

The Uso's (Jimmy & Jey) (c) vs. The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

Awesome match, best match on the card, in my opinion...

Montz Ford had his ribs heavily taped after the beating he received Friday night at the hands of The Bloodline .

Plenty of false finishes, The Uso's retain by pin fall when Jey pinned Montez Ford following the Double Uso Splash...

After the match, Bobby Lashley is seen backstage, very upset with Big E, calling Big E 'Chicken Shit' and issuing a challenge for Monday Night Raw tonightfor the WWE Championship

Raw Women's Championship Match.

Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Alexa Bliss.

Another solid match

I still feel Alexa should've received the first shot at Nikki A.S.H. instead of Charlotte, but, it is what it is.....

They left things open for another match....

Flair retains after hitting Bliss with Natural Selection for the pin...

After the match, Charlotte destroys Alexa's doll Lily and Alexa & Flair begin brawling, ending with Flair dumping Bliss over the announce table.

Bliss enters the ring & begins melting down...

A bit of bad camera work allows the viewers that Bliss put an Alka Seltzer tablet in her mouth allowing Bliss to apppear to foam from the mouth in such rage over Lily....

I believe Extrem Rules was in (or was near) Alexa's hometown in Ohio....

Triple Threat Match For The United States Championship...

Damian Priest (c) vs. Sheamus vs. Jeff Hardy

Another good match...

Crowd was clearly behind Jeff Hardy...

Damian Priest retains by pin fall after pinning Sheamus with a roll up...

After the match, Big E accepts Bobby Lashley's challenge, and says, it'll kickoff Monday Night Raw...

Smackdown Women's Championship

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair

I wrote in my notes, no matter what, they still cheer Becky...

Half of the crowd chantes 'Let's Go Becky!' while the other half chanted 'EST!'

Great back & forth....

Belair won by DQ when Sasha Banks attacked Belair as she was going for the KOD (Kiss Of Death). It's worth noting a championship cannot change hands by DQ or coutout, only by pin fall or submission...

Banks goes on to attack both women, & as Sasha makes her way backstage, she promises to see both women Friday night on Smackdown...

Main event:

Extreme Rules match fro the Universal Championship

Roman Reigns (c) w/Paul Heyman vs. 'Demon' Finn Balor

Balor hit the Coup De Gras, and had the match won, The Uso's run to the ring and pull Balor off of Reigns and attack Balor (No DQ in and Extreme Rules Match). Balor lays waste to both Uso's & Reigns hits a Spear on the outside, all four men are laid out. Suddenly, The Demon's entrance music starts again and Balor comes back to life, he rolls Reigns back in the ring and positions him once again for the Coup De Gras, Balor climbs to the top rope when the top rope snapped. Balor crashes to the mat, allowing Reigns to get up & hit yet another Spear and pin Balor to win & retain...

It's only Balor's second loss as The Demon in WWE & his first on the main roster....

Extremem Rules was a solid show...

Next, I'll review ECW Guilty As Charged 2000 (this will start my look at the last 13 months of ECW, last 15 months of WCW & the years 2000-01 of WWF/E)

For The Ramblings, I'm Steve & I'm out!
