WWF Royal Rumble 2000 Review.

The WWF Royal Rumble 2000 took place from NYC's Madison Square Garden on January 23rd, 2000

On the go home Smackdown, X-Pac won the right to enter the Royal Rumble at #30

The 1st match on the card was Kurt Angle vs. a mystery opponent.

As Kurt Angle cuts a promo, the crowd is chanting: 'We Want Taz!'

And the music hits, & just as everuone expected, it's the debuting Tazz.

Extremely physical match with Tazz suplexing Angle out of his shoes.

Taz locks in the Taz-mission and makes Angle pass out and Taz defeats Kurt Angle...

After the match, the announcers shit all over Taz, saying he only won by choke & that Angle technically is still undefeated...

The next match is tag team tables match as the Hardy Boys take on the Dudley Boys.

In a pre match promo the Hardy's refuse to let Terri accompany them to ringside...

Lots of stiff chair shots to the head, in this match...

The Hardy's win after driving both D-Von & Buh-Buh Ray through tables....

Next is the Miss Rumble 2000 Bikini contest as it's Ivory vs. Terri vs. Jacqueline vs. B. B. vs. Luna Vachon vs. The Kat...

Just as a winner is about to be declared, Mae Young comes out & announces she's also part of the match & Mae Young actually wins by flashing the crowd...

ext is a triple threat match to determine the undisputed WWF Intercontinental champion

Chris Jericho (co-champion) vs. Chyna (co-champion) vs. Hardcore Holly

Jericho is clearly the fan favorite as he cuts a promo calling MSG Madison Square Jericho...

Jericho becomes undisputed Intercontinental champion when Chyna tries to go for the Walls Of Jericho on Holly but Jericho first hits a bulldog on Chyna followed by a Lion-sault on Chyna the pin fall victory

WWF Tag Team Championship:

New Age Outlaws (c) vs. The Acolytes

The Acolytes dominate this match, but just as they're about to fiish off The Outlaws, X-Pac runs to the ring to attack Farroq & Bradshaw, allowing Billy Gunn to hit the fameasser on Bradshaw for the pin fall victory

WWF Championship Street Fight

Triple H (c) vs. Cactus Jack

Extremely physical match, lots of shots with a barbed wire wrapped 2x4, and even a run in by The Rock...there are even thumbtacks in this match

Triple H hits one pedigree but Cactus goes off script & kicks out, asking Triple H to Pedigree him one more time on the thumbtacks...

Triple retains the championship, but he was really bleeding...

After the match, Triple H was being carried out on a stretcher when Cactus drags him back to the ring & hits him one more time with the barbed wire as Cactu's music plays...
