Classic Weekly Wrap-Up For The Week Ending 02-05-2000

This was actually a good week of wrestling action. The week prior, saw the WWF/E debut of Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn & Chris Benoit after all 4 walked out on WCW following Souled Out. This week featured all four men stepping in the ring agianst Triple H & D-X in losing efforts on Smackdown.

Speaking WCW, the merry-go-round that is the WCW World Heavyweight championship in the year 2000 began at Soiuled Out & has already changed hands a handful of times since then. I'll do a more comprehensive look at a later date. On Nitro, Jeff Jarrett (The #1 Contender to Sid's WCW Heavyweight title) teams with Ron & Don Harris against Sid Vicious, Terry Funk & a returning Ric Flair. Only problem was,  Flair & Funk are feuding. And this weeks episode of Thunder was heavily edited. An in ring promo by Hulk Hogan was removed & the main event which was a Caged Heat match (match 3 of Triple Threat Theatre...) between Sid & Ron & Don Harris was also removed.

And in ECW, it goes to prove the best laid plans. As ECW was building toward a clash between ECW World Heavyweight Champion Mike Awesome & ECW Television champion Rob Van Dam only to have Van Dam break his leg in two places at an ECW House Show after a TV taping...

So, that's all thae happened...

I'll be back with another review soon

Until next time, I'm Steve & I'm out!
