As many of you know, I'm doing a review of the last year plus of WCW, ECW & the WWF (now WWE...), granted I'm going a little slow, but I just finished the week that fell between WCW SuperBrawl 2000 & WWF No Way Out 2000.
Jeff Jarrett felt he was screwed out of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship by 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper at SuperBrawl 2000 and the following night on Nitro Jarrett revealed that Kevin Nash signed a document guaranteeing Jarrett a one on one title match for the Championship. Later in the evening, Heavyweight Champion Sid Vicious said he'd get his match at Uncensored 2000 in March. Also, Dustin Rhodes attacked Terry Funk as they took on Ron & Don Harris. And Hulk Hogan battled the Total Disgrace...err...I mean Total Package Lex Loser *damn...* I mean, Lex Luger in a last man standing steel cage match.
On Raw Is War that same evening, the WWF is building toward No Way Out 2000. Which all of 5 if the matches on that PPV were mentioned Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho w/Chyna defends against European champion Kurt Angle. Matt & Jeff Hardy vs. Edge & Christian. WWF Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws defend against Buh-Buh Ray & D-Von Dudley. The Rock vs. The Big Show. And, WWF Champion Triple H w/Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley defends against Cactus Jack inside Hell in A Cell.
As Raw Is War went off the air, Cactus Jack destroyed the DX Express bus.
Not much happened on Thunder, but the following night on Smackdown Stephanie had Cactus Jack arrested for vandalism. And Triple H was going to drag Cactus Jack behind the DX Express from Nashville, TN to Hartford, CT for No Way Out.
On both ECW shows, the focus on was the ECW World TV title currently held by the injured Rob Van Dam. In what is amounting to real life heat between. ECW owner Paul Heyman & TNN, the network wanted the title put on Rhyno. Also, tensions are mounting Tommy Dreamer, Raven & Francine.
