This is the first time for me to listen to this podcast, and I must admit, it was good.
On this episode, Eric Bischoff talks about the passing of both Ole Anderson and Mike Smith (FKA Virgil...) and he discusses Sting's last match, and his final appearance on AEW Wednesday Dynamite, as well as TKO Group Holdings earnings call, and the (limited) voting power of Vince McMahon, who still owns about 20% of TKO.
Eric also discusses WWE's business practices and their Right Of First Refusal deal with Madison Square Garden in New York City, meaning that any competing wrestling promotion had to wait for WWE's okay before they were able to book a show at MSG, which is the main reason why when Eric Bischoff ran WCW that he booked the Paramount Theater inside MSG and not MSG itself.
Eric also discussed the potential of Ari Emmanuel making every WWE Premium Live Event up for bids, meaning cities around the world would bid for the right to host WWE every month.
It's a crazy notion, but I can see it working.
Next up is the 83 Weeks Podcast with Eric Bischoff
Untilo next time, I'm Steve & I'm just living the dream.
